DTMs

Scroll through commands

Question:
In Terramodel, how do I view and execute previous commands?
Answer:
Scroll through commands

If you have a clear command line, you may use the up and down arrows on your keyboard and scroll through the commands you recently issued.  This can be useful if something goes wrong, you can see what commands were executed.  Or you may want it to run a previous command.

Also, if you hit ENTER or the SPACEBAR when the command line is clear, the previous command will be executed.  (Repeating the last command.)

Also, if you have a clear command line, you can place the mouse in the graphics area and right-click.  The previous commands will be available to run.

Slope Analysis

Slope Analysis
 - To designate slope areas in Terramodel like this:

Follow these steps:

  1. You must have a DTM layer in the project.
  2. Create a new layer and make it current.
    • Example: "Slopes_0%-3%"
  3. Select DTM/DTM Slope command.
    • This command will draw plines around the triangles of a DTM that have slopes within a designated slope range
  4. Isolate the "Slope_0%-3%" layer to see what you have.
  5. Join the lines that were drawn in step 3.
    • Use the Join command - pick one line on the "Slope_0%-3%" layer, then select all the lines by layer to join them quickly.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each slope range.
  7. Use the Draw/Hatch closed lines command to hatch areas.  When selecting the boundaries for the hatch, select the layer to create one hatch for each slope range.
